Active Shooter At Walmart In Springfield, Missouri - Happening Now - Live Coverage!

Dmitriy Nickoayvich Andreychenko, was the 20-year-old man has been arrested yesterday evening for making a terrorist threat after wielding an assault rifle and 100 rounds of ammunition while filming himself entering a Missouri Walmart on Thursday afternoon.

Six months ago Andreychenko posted that he hates Walmart’s store policy of only selling firearms to those 21 and over.

In a February Facebook status update Andreychenko wrote: ‘It’s official. I hate Walmart. Apparently, they won’t sell Rifle and shotgun ammo if your {sic] under 21. “New policy” However I can walk into the store with a loaded .40 and nobody says anything. What a joke.’

Panicked shoppers were sent fleeing when the man entered the store wearing a bulletproof vest and military-style clothing in Springfield, before he was stopped by a hero firefighter who held him at gunpoint.

The suspect studied to be an EMT at Ozarks Technical Community College and refers to himself as a ‘part-time dispatcher, full-time farmer’ in one Instagram caption. An online profile says he started working at cargo company Roadway Express LLC in 2018.

He is married and he and his wife are expecting their first child in 2020.

This heavily armed man was arrested at a Walmart in Springfield, Missouri. 

Just days after two deadly shootings, which took place in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio, that rocked the US. 

The Police said that a young white male, appearing to be in his twenties, pulled up to the Walmart, where he donned body armor and military fatigues. Police say the man had tactical weapons, KY3 news reported.

In a thread of tweets, the Springfield PD said officers detained an individual at a Walmart Neighborhood Market and an investigation is ongoing.

KY3 SPRINGFIELD, Mo. The Springfield Police Department says it responded to a call of an active shooter at the Walmart Neighborhood Market at Republic Rd., near Golden Ave., Thursday evening.

The Springfield Police Department arrived on scene within three minutes of the call. Police stated that a young white male, appearing to be in his twenties, pulled up to the Walmart, where he donned body armor and military fatigues. Police say the man had tactical weapons.

Police then say the man walked into the Walmart: Neighborhood Market where he grabbed a cart and began pushing it around the store. Police say the man was recording himself walking through the store via a cell phone.

The store manager at the Neighborhood Market pulled a fire alarm, urging people to escape the store.

Police say the man then made his way out an emergency exit where a former firefighter held the man at gunpoint. At that moment Springfield Police arrived on scene and detained the man.

The Springfield Police Department could not confirm the nature of statements said by the man to those inside of the Walmart, but they do confirm that the man had loaded weapons, and over one hundred rounds of ammunition.

Police also observed many shoppers hiding outside the Walmart and at nearby businesses.

Lieutenant Mike Lucas said it was clear the man’s intent was to cause chaos, saying in part, “His intent was not to cause peace or comfort…He’s lucky he’s alive still, to be honest.”

Just look at the increase in active shooters in Walmarts all of a sudden.
