Dem aspirants vow to “buy back” guns they didn’t sell

Democrats running for president are outpacing one another telling  the American people what they intend to do to their guns.

Perpetually flailing Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke is now known for his swaggering debate declaration, “Hell yes, we’re going to take your AS-15.”

Leftists have a way with words, using incendiary language when describing legal firearms. They call semi-automatic rifles “assault rifles.” They never acknowledge that guns save lives.

Corey Booker touts mandating a federal license to buy firearms. Elizabeth Warren wants to impose high tax increases on both gun and ammo purchases. Democrats are unconcerned about alienating Second Amendment supporting voters. Joe Biden, who has previously waffled on the issue now declares (I min. video) what he calls assault weapons “should be illegal – period,” adding “the Second Amendment doesn’t say you can’t restrict the kinds of weapons people can own.”

Socialist Bernie Sanders represents the rural state of Vermont which has no laws restricting firearms, and an estimated 70-75% of the residents are gun owners, walks a fine line as seen in this campaign video, where he tries to draw a distinction between his bucolic state’s voters and the residents of Chicago and Los Angeles where gangs proliferate.

Pete Buttigieg, dreamily calculating whether to bring his husband red or white roses after the debate, tried hedging on the crucial question, though he unequivocally supports universal background checks on gun sales. In July, a Buttigieg campaign spokesman was more forthright, acknowledging he “supports a new federal ban on assault-style weapons, as well as a voluntary buyback program for existing assault-style weapons.”

The question any rational citizen should ask is, “How does the government buy back guns it didn’t sell to us?”
