With just a month left until the November 3 US presidential election, contracting the virus could have politically positive or negative consequences for America let alone the President. Trump’s days in isolation will halt his intense campaign schedule. Trump was much better at energizing crowds in airport hangers than Joe Biden has been. This advantage is now gone. They have tried everything to stop the Trump train so why not intentionally infect him ? I am not saying that is what happened but I think that is what happened. They been trying to infect him since the begging if you would like my opinion. There is one more possibility you know, A false positive because that would slow the train also.
