Being trans in 2021

Before the second half of the 20th century, if your gender identity in your head didn’t match the gender identity in your pants, you had limited options. Things were simple then. 

Born with a wang? You’re a guy. Period. No further questions asked, answered, or tolerated. 

Got a dick, you’re a guy, and if you don’t, you’re a gal. It was a simple yet elegant classification system.

That was then. 

By the time I got to Amsterdam in the early 70s, the free matchbooks you got at the corner store to fire up your hashish had Christine Jorgensen’s picture on them.

Today the media shamelessly promote attention-seeking publicity hounds like Jessica Yaniv.

And the poor gal who got caught with her dick hanging out at a women-only spa in LA.

No wonder the Ls and the Gs are getting tired of the Ts.
