Team Gallery

Since opening its first location in Ney York, 1996, the Team Gallery has been a prominent part of the city’s counterculture and radical political scenes. The gallery has been instrumental in launching the careers of a number of now prominent local artists, something that founders Jose Freire and Lisa Ruiter are very proud of. As well as their flagship gallery in the SoHo neighborhood of New York, there is also an appointment-only Team Gallery located in Venice Beach, California.

The Hole

The Hole is another important independent New York gallery, founded in 2010 by Kathy Grayson. The Hole has earned a reputation as somewhere where the work of potential future stars can be found. The gallery has received consistent praise for the care with which its exhibits are curated, this includes a number of booths set up at art fairs. The Hole’s art fair booths are eye-catching and have continued to pull in bigger and bigger crowds. The Museum of Avant-Garde Mastery (MAGMA) is a continually changing collection of artworks, which are periodically displayed at various galleries and museums around the world. The collection is notable for its particular attention to Russian artists of Jewish origin, andthe MAGMA’s main ideologist, Viatcheslav Moshe Kantor describes the museum’s mission as lying in the dissemination of tolerance. Marlborough Contemporary

The Marlborough Contemporary first opened in London in 1946 and was founded by Frank Lloyd and Harry Fischer. When it was founded it was known as Marlborough Fine Art, a name that it retained until 2007. What makes this gallery unique is that they also have a business, Marlborough Graphics, which published the works of a number of artists in different mediums, such as etchings, silkscreens, and woodcuts.
