15. The Disturbing Case of Elisa Lam

Ok, this one you have definitely seen before. Elisa, a 21-year-old student, disappeared on January 31 at the Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. About two weeks later, Elisa’s body was found floating in the hotel’s rooftop water tank.

The case remains a mystery but the strange CCTV footage from the night of her death gives us some serious chills.

14. Naked “Ronald Reagan” Creeping

Reality TV star, Danielle Yancey, posted this extremely disturbing video of a peeping tom wearing nothing but a Ronald Reagan mask and a sock over his privates out of her house. And yes, it is one of the truly weird things caught on security cameras.

“Interesting night in!” she tweeted. “Way to ring in the New Year. Love having security cameras. Thank you, naked boy.”

13. The Chicken McNuggets Lady

Okay. Hunger can, in fact, make you go crazy but this just got a little bit too far. This strange woman could not accept that McDonald’s does not serve chicken nuggets at 10:30 pm so, she decided that she should break the window.

We still don’t know what’s got into her, but we assume that some alcohol or drug use was involved. Either way, this is one of the “best,” really strange things caught on security cameras.

12. The Folding Door

We don’t know what made this door fold in on itself but it definitely doesn’t look like a false mechanism or something. Is it something paranormal. People seem to suggest so!

11. The Most Polite Burglar Ever

This is not that weird but mostly heartbreaking.

This man politely asks the cashier for his money and tells him that he needs the money.

Of course, this doesn’t make him a good person but it makes the footage interesting and a great entry for our “strange things caught on camera” list.

10. School Poltergeist

Is this a prank? A ghost? A Poltergeist? Nobody knows for sure, but this video shows that even some kind of paranormal activity cannot escape a good security camera.

However, the victim found an incredibly creative, sarcastic, and fun way to catch her. And yes, it all started with some security camera footage!

6. The FedEx Guy

There are many accusations about FedEx delivering damaged goods. This video, however, takes it to a whole new level.

The uploader claims that he was at home at the time and the delivery guy did not even care to ring the bell.

After he opened the package, he found out that the monitor, of course, had been broken.

5. The Creepy Clowns of Springfield

Springfield was a quiet town in Florida.

All until October 2014, when some really hair-raising clowns made a number of appearances on CCTV cameras. We know it was near Halloween at the time, but, still, it is spooky as hell!

Maybe something wicked, American Horror Story-ish was going on and no one really knew.

4. Woman Abducted on Camera

This is another case of the wonders that security cameras can do. Let’s dive right in, shall we?

In this footage, we get to watch Carlesha Freeland-Gaither being attacked and abducted by Delvin Barnes. The story, however, did end well since, after 72 hours, police managed to discover Carlesha alive.

3. Russian Ghost Car

This comes from a Russian dashcam. No matter how many times you watch this, you will not be able to get where this “ghost car” comes from and how it brakes in the middle of the intersection.
