2. Egg Yolks

It’s time to rejoice — we’re officially giving you permission to ditch your egg white omelets!

Forget what you’ve been told about yolks being too high in cholesterol. It’s true that they contain quite a bit of cholesterol. But, researchers have also found that dietary cholesterol doesn’t actually affect your blood cholesterol levels.

The yolks are also rich in micronutrients like choline, vitamin D, B vitamins, and selenium.

3. Chocolate

Chocolate gets a bad rep. But, it’s actually quite healthy. The key is to consume chocolate that is at least 70 percent cacao.

The higher the cacao percentage, the less sugar is present.

Pick up a bar of dark chocolate from your local store, or add some keto collagen powder with cacao to your smoothie or coffee for a major flavor and nutrient boost.

4. Turmeric

Turmeric doesn’t just add flavor and color to Indian dishes. It also contains a compound known as curcumin, which is a powerful anti-inflammatory.

5. Beef

Beef is another food that has been frowned upon for a long time. But, the myth that red meat increases the risk of heart disease been debunked, and researchers have found that it’s actually a nutrient powerhouse.

Beef is loaded with protein, iron, B vitamins, and many other essential nutrients. Some studies have also shown that consuming about three servings of red meat per week can help reduce symptoms of depression.

      Carob is a wonderful alternative to chocolate, if you can’t have chocolate for some reason.
