1. Feng Shui Consultant

Feng Shui stems from Ancient China. It is both an art and a science based on Taoist principles. It focuses on the flow of energy, called “chi”.

Ensuring proper flow of energy ensures health, wellness, and good fortune. It can even help with a cold house! Feng Shui can work in any space both residential and commercial.

A Feng Shui consultant works with the color, lighting, and organization of the room to optimize energy flow. They can be self-taught, but many come with formal certification and training.

2. Color Expert

There is a lot more to this job than you might think. To be a color expert, you have to use a combination of the below:

  • An understanding of Color psychology
  • Knowledge of current trends and styles
  • Access and ability to understand demographic statistics

You will need all the above to be able to succeed in integrating color in a correct way. A color expert doesn’t only focus on interior designing. They can focus on a variety of projects including things like logo design.

With a recognized membership, the International Association of Color Consultants offers formal training.

3. Body Painter

You’ll often see body painters at fairs and festivals. Most specialize in face painting which is popular among families and children.

Body painters also attend events like music festivals, which cater to a more adult crowd. Body painters are often employed on photo and video shoots if the designer’s vision needs painted clothes.

Body painting has become a popular art form. Artists will use the human body as their canvas. They then show their paintings at exhibitions and in online portfolios.

4. Flavorist

A flavorist is a chemist who specializes in creating and formulating flavors. These can be both natural and artificial.

You will find that most flavorists have a Ph.D. in chemistry or biochemistry. Most then taken on an approved apprenticeship.

An approved apprenticeship takes 7 years to complete and there is a written test after 5 years. Once passed, they gain the title of junior flavorist and continue training for 2 years.

In the end, they must pass a final exam with 90% or more to qualify as a certified member of the Society of Flavor Chemists.

5. Nail Polish Namer

Have you ever wondered where nail polish names come from? There is a job specializing in that!

Making up those stand out names isn’t the only thing a nail polish namer will do, though. Their job includes things like:

  • Trend Forecasting
  • Deciding which products to launch
  • Testing out new nail polishes
  • Deciding on packaging type and design
  • Talking to retailers to make sure they want to stock the product

This isn’t a complete list, and as you can see there is a lot more to the job than naming nail polishes.

Often nail polish namers have a degree in business and/or marketing. Previous experience in marketing is also a plus.

6. Bike Courier

In cities where there is a high volume of traffic, bike couriers are a blessing. They provide an invaluable service due to their versatility.

Bike couriers are not affected by traffic jams or parking issues. This means they often get across the city quicker than if they were driving. Industries like fashion, food, and the medical industry still rely on them.

7. Forklift Operator

Forklift operators work in some capacity in almost every industry.

Every industry that receives, supplies, or stores goods on Pallets needs forklift operators to keep the business running smoothly. With so many people needing forklift operators, drivers are always in high demand.

Hippotherapy relies on the natural movement of horses as part of a patient’s treatment plan.

Hippotherapy is useful in psychological, physical, occupational, and even speech therapy. It is also a popular option for children who suffer from autism, Down’s syndrome, and other conditions.

Therapists hold a degree in social work or psychology, botany, education or occupational therapy. They often have experience in these fields before becoming a horticultural therapist.
