Why were the Jews given the power to charge interest on loans and no one else

Why were the Jews given the power to charge interest on loans and no one else, thus impoverishing us at their expense?
This is the root of all today’s problems,  “the love of money is the root of ALL evil”  (Timothy 6:10) and the majority of the problems that have existed ever since this was allowed in the West.
The reason has not been forthcoming but I suspect subterfuge and hidden powers of a dark kind at work.
We are not without blame and thus deserve the consequences, whatever the cause, unleashing all the evils visited on mankind since, despite his redemption, which requires cooperation, by Christ himself.
Just as in ancient Israel not all were bad, so today, the faith has survived through good men and history has reached its final showdown.
Will we go the way of the good men?
That depends on whether the leopards spots are real or simply tattooed on. I suspect the latter. No one is beyond salvation. Light will shine. Ignorance will be defeated, and mankind will decide for the right light not the false light of Satan.
Humanity is a noble creation.
Evil is foreign to him. It was pushed on him from the beginning.
Let’s not forget that.
Our home is in Heaven.
Our first love is God.
And this heaven we can and do achieve on earth when we simply follow the Ten Commandments, with the infinite help of Christ.
