NEWLY DISCOVERED ANCIENT virus, named crAssphage — after the software used to discover it — infects half the world’s population, researchers have found, which is thought to play a major role in obesity, diabetes and other diseases of the gut.
While it’s unknown how the virus is transmitted, the fact that the virus was not present in very young infants’ faecal matter suggests it is acquired sometime during childhood.
“So we have a biological proof that the virus they found with the computer actually exists in the samples,” said SDSU virologist John Mokili.
SDSU bioinformantics professor Edwards said that the virus was present in almost every population they analysed, which suggests the virus is an incredibly old one.
“It’s not unusual to go looking for a novel virus and find one,” he said.
“But it’s very unusual to find one that so many people have in common. The fact that it’s flown under the radar for so long is very strange.”

It was only in the news last weekend that a top European Judge has classified obesityvas a ‘disability’, paving the way for fat wobblers to claim benefits and bludge of the state because ‘ it’s not their fault’! Now, as if that wasn’t infuriating enough, this piece of crap research is published stating that obesity is an Alien virus? For goodness sake!
What other excuses are lard-arses going to come up with to negate their own responsibility for what they put into their big, greedy mouths?
Maybe if all these fatties stopped eating hydrogenated fats and processed foods packed with sugar and artificial additives they might find they remained fit and healthy.
