The Indigo Diaries...What is an Indigo

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

What is an Indigo? The term corresponds with the color, a purple or blue depicted in the pictures I use of myself in the Tahoe lupines. The color also corresponds with the color for the highest chakra point and the elevated state of being that comes from existing from this chakra. The term Indigo Children was originated by Nancy Ann Tappe who studied the human auric field, otherwise known as the electromagnetic field, surrounding every living thing.

Through aura colorization Nancy came up with a way to psychologically profile people. She observed that some 80 percent of the children born after 1980 had a new deep blue colored auric field. She called this new color indigo. Psychologists correspondingly noticed what was considered to be a large influx of young children with abnormally high functioning traits during the period and Indigos became known as high functioning people. Perhaps it might be more accurate to say that Indigos are not low functioning.

Wikipedia classifies the Indigo idea as a “pseudoscientific new age concept” straight out of the 1970s hippie mentality. Just because a subject remains outside the scope of our observational field does not negate it. We do have energy fields as living beings which mostly we cannot detect. Just because someone makes observations on auras or something else beyond contemporary comprehension does not mean it’s ‘pseudoscientific new age” quackamagook.

In fact it is my belief that there have always been Indigos. And just like every other minority, that is group made to have minimal power among oligarchies, they too have been traditionally relegated to the sideline and hidden from center stage history. This is hardly farfetched when we look at how the influences of women, those with melanin and homosexuals have been downplayed and hidden for example.

It is my opinion there have always been Indigos, only now people are open enough and sophisticated enough to understand and accept the “the pseudoscientific new age concept” die to their own experiences rather than what they’re told. Indigos were higher functioning than their peers and some had supernatural qualities occasionally, but I believe there have always been Indigos and people can always develop higher functioning and thus apparent supernatural abilities. Just as with everything we are born with some inherent level of skill, a certain flavor of karma, and then through practice we can develop our potential and awaken our dormancy. There have always been Indigos. Indigos go against the grain because they’re old souls, because they’re more concerned with the flow of intangible emotions and thoughts rather than the currency of the tangible status quo.

The more materialistic people are the less likely they are to be Indigos. The more rebellious people are the more likely they are to be Indigos. And often enough the more counter their course compared to the majority of everybody else’s the more likely they are Indigos. There are many differences among Indigos but certainly they all share some of the same qualities, higher functioning compassionate leniency. I always look for those that do not fall in line and always put individuals before institutions. There are many different Indigos who function in many different ways.

Race, religion and nationality are no qualification for being Indigo, in fact Indigos rarely consider these classifications when considering themselves and others. Indigos consider the qualities of heart and mind. Indigos likely use poetry or paintings to communicate but Indigos however they operate are seeking to elevate individuals around them. Indigos are intuitive, peaceful warriors.

To Indigos the age old poetic construct that debates the importance of where you’re from and where you’re at in relation to your character is not nuanced enough. To an Indigo it’s not about where you’re from or where you’re at that defines you, it’s about what you left behind to get here right now.

Indigos, just like the rest of humanity, are sometimes jibed one way or another, their ships blown off course, so they don’t really come into themselves, finding their way back on course until late in life. And surely in the past where more people were swing swords around more often and violence was more common and trauma more frequent less Indigos and less individuals in total actualized themselves in individuation. Sometimes things happen today to Indigos and others, so that they actually stop being themselves only to later find their true nature after being seemingly being lost at sea.

Those who like to promote the idea that Indigos are simply some high headed hippie kids and go about using the term “pseudoscientific new age concept” like to claim that Indigos only started coming here or more accurately being identified here because of new age jargon infiltration. In fact Indigos have always been here and Indigos have always been trying to uplift humanity from the dregs of war and oligarchical collectivism, the fascism of greedy capitalization.

There are four types of information. There are known knowns, the information we know we know. There are known unknowns, the information we know we don’t know. There are unknown unknowns, the information we don’t realize we don’t know. And then there are unknown knowns. The unknown knowns are the most important and at the same time most elusive to understand type of information. Unknown knowns are the instincts we act upon, the intuition which unfolds and the dichotomously the secrets that others hold. The fourth type of information, the unknown knowns, certainly lead to answers concerning the most immense questions and it is in this subject matter where Indigos interests reside. Indigos delve into the fourth type and the deepest aspect of information. They thrive in it and submerge themselves, whereas most people don’t even consider it. That’s why Indigos are poets, and painters and meditators and inventors.

Those who go on swinging the term “pseudoscientific new age concept” about certainly do not even consider the fourth type information. They are caught up or strapped down to their own ideas held in concrete terms and what Indigos might call falsified scientism. That is to say completely caught up and swirled up in the establishmentarian policies and beliefs where only good old boys ever did anything positive. Bodhidharma is certainly among the most legendary Indigos and righteous rebels ever. He brought Buddhism and martial arts to China from India. His Indigo status has been totally obscured and his legendary story was significantly altered to suit the belief structures of those in control to also relegate his race and skin hue. Bodhidharma was almost certainly a black man from India who was occasionally in time and place made yellow. His story is just an encapsulation of how stories have been shifted and turned over to suit those in control. Now extrapolate on that related to other subject matter, say in the more institutional and political spheres vis-à-vis the fourth type of information, unknown knowns.

Indigos, like Bodhidharma seek to better and serve individuals. They do not care for institutions. If Indigos are here now to do anything, it is to change the course that is currently lending institutions the veritable divine right of kings. If Indigos share a trait it is the divine grace of intending to raise consciousness and promote individuation. The following is an article I extracted from The Complete Patriot’s Guide.

Indigos are here to assist individuals and if needed battle the institutions in their way, preventing them from ascension. Indigos are peaceful warriors who do not fight individuals unless absolutely necessary, but always break down the institutional walls barricading people in and keeping others out.

Should Institutions Have a Right to Secrets in a Free and Open Society?

“In 1984 there are four types of people, based largely on social rank” In reality there are four types of people understood according to our reaction to information. Idiots do not question substance or relevance. Zealots question in line and in accordance. Elitists question in order to advance power and finance. Patriots question curiously and openly, often enough in prevention of exploitation.” ~ from The Complete Patriot’s Guide to Oligarchical Collectivism

It is impossible to say what transpires in secret institutional meetings. Perhaps secret meetings are concerned with the orchestration of world peace, cures for disease and the eradication of poverty. Heck, maybe they are deciding when the best time would be to release their perpetual motion machine! But I doubt it. Whatever the subjects, whatever the group, they believe commoners do not need to know.

Secretive Decision-Making

The notion of secret institutions and secretive decision-making are in direct opposition to the stated objectives of our free and open society, which employs institutions to serve its needs. For this reason, institutional secrets simply should not be. Institutions make plans within conceptualizations that do not recognize the individual, but which view a society as a single entity that must be controlled and influenced, dividing people according to their location, race, income or other conjured demographic reasoning — thinking which always benefits an institution, never an individual.

“The very word ‘secrecy’ is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths, and to secret proceedings.” ~ John F. Kennedy

After Hurricane Katrina, when the levees broke in New Orleans, many individual paramedics and rescue institutions were sent to New Orleans to help people. However the Police Chief from the nearby city of Gretna ordered the blockade of a bridge leading out of New Orleans, without explanation. Evacuees were met with a roadblock, shotgun fire and turned around, forced to remain in the dangerous confines of New Orleans. Was this a preplanned or an impromptu decision? What benefit could it have created for the individuals affected by such disastrous flooding? Either way, institutional thinking led institutional heads to regulate these circumstances in a way that contradicted the best interests — and the will — of the individuals.

Those who believe they are elevated above others because of their role, race, social position, relation to a bridge, or other conjured concept are ignorant — and their ignorance is strength to the institutions they serve. The fact is that ignorance serves to perpetuate institutions; the ignorance of their own representatives and especially of those outside those institutions. And while institutions may serve those who serve it in the short term, ultimately commercial and government institutions will always operate from a place of self-protection, striving only for the commercial profit or political power for which they exist.

Institutions act to keep information in order to gain and maintain power. Institutionalized secrets are never needed unless gaining and maintaining power are the priorities. If happiness and benevolence were planned by our institutions, the people would let them accomplish whatever it is that they plot! Secrets would not be necessary. Secrets are necessary only when malevolent operations are planned and revelation of the whole truth threatens the plan.

Today, the unknowns surrounding the secrecy of institutions cannot remain secret, for actuality cannot be hidden. Through our observation of actuality, keeping secrets, in reality, gives them away. To keep a secret requires concealment and half-truths, and such behavior reveals that one is operating covertly. Within institutions, such covert behavior reveals not just another lying politician or corporate head, but an elitist.

The Act of Concealment

Institutional secrets are only ever kept for elitist gains. Ultimately, information in a free and open society should be shared.

For argument’s sake, suppose elitist secrets were benevolent. Rather than keep benevolent information secret, they would likely tell the world in order, to cast away any suspicion and to gain political acclaim. Politicians are popularity-seekers after all. Information would likely leak. Unless one is under the proverbial thumb of an evil authority, there would be no reason to keep a secret from a society that would benefit the individuals in that society. Ultimately, to withhold information, even about apparently benevolent activity, in itself indicates malevolence.

But a secret about something malevolent is another, more obvious form of wickedness. Keeping secret information concerning active malevolency is an exponentially greater wrong. These secrets — such as wartime activity and the nuclear destruction of our environment — are perhaps easier to keep, because institutions would admit guilt by the revelation of their malevolency. No doubt, secrets are more closely guarded by institutions when their release means one’s own demise.

The very act of concealment suggests a dark agenda. No matter what the motive, withholding information is still withholding information, and in a free and open society, that notion is repugnant.

Political, religious and corporate institutions separate themselves from ordinary people by having more power, clout, connections and wealth — all mechanisms of a man-made economic structure of power and control. But most importantly, institutions maintain power over information. In the age of information, they separate themselves, like the “nobility” of the past, by keeping information to themselves and revealing (through the media they control) only what they want you to know. And by withholding such information, they reinforce the “pyramid system” in our society — to their advantage — for information is power, and individual ignorance is strength to institutions.
