Celebrating Women's Equality Day with Poetry

Carolyn Howard-Johnson shares writers’ resources on her award-winning blog Sharing with Writers

August 26 is Women’s Equality Day! I am celebrating by sharing a poem with you–something I rarely do because publishers often eschew publishing literary work that has appeared on the Web–or elsewhere!  These, however, already appeared “elsewhere”–in my chapbook of poetry called Deeper in the Pond coauthored with Magdalena Ball, owner and editor of CompulsiveReader.com. One of her poems is included.  Part of our multi award-winning Celebration Series, this chapbook was intended as a celebration of women everywhere, especially for Women’s Day.  It seems even more suited to Women’s Equality Day.
