Instead of purchasing a piece of software like Quickbooks or Peachtree for a few hundred bucks that you upgrade every few years, new online programs like FreshBooks allow small business owners to pay by the month.
You can do all of your accounting work securely online without having to install software.
This option is not for everyone. Just because this type of program is easier than many competitors, it doesn’t mean it will be fun. Some people choose to hire a bookkeeper to manage their financial records, and that’s fine too.
