2017 Mercedes Benz Sprinter and Metris First Drive Are The Best Worker Vans

After the introduction of 2017 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Metris First Drive at the Daimler’s, Mercedes-Benz Vans took a division in Worker van series, which is a part of worker van segment. 

During the Chicago Auto Show, after the announcement of the value-priced for Sprinter Worker Van, the company has started expanding the configuration of the vehicles by extending the chassis and the strength of the engines. 

The product range of the new vehicle 2017 Mercedes-Benz Metris was stretched to be a part of the workshop.

Most common vehicles

The changes that the company has decided to make in the vehicle have helped the buyers considering the vehicle as a more common vehicle than a luxury buy. Competitive prices

Earlier, Mercedes-Benz Vans were making huge profits overseas, when they were transporting the parts of the vehicle and reassembling it in Ladson, and South Carolina to sell it at a huge price. But the base price of $32,495 suggested by Sprinter Worker manufacturers has left no choice for a larger profit, but eventually, the new prices can give a good competition to the vehicles like Ford Transit Connect LWB and RAM ProMaster City.

At the end of 2016, the new configuration of the additional chassis and the engines was provided by new Sprinter Worker lineup as a new change. The two engines are available with very high standard. The first one includes 4-cylinder turbo-charged, 2.1-liter BlueTEC diesel engine and has the 161-horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque, along with 7G-Tronic 7-speed automatic transmission capability. The other engine is “BlueTEC V6” turbo diesel making 188 hp with torque of 325 lb-ft. Both the engines work well with high speed automatic transmission.

Dual engine support

The Metris worker is mainly powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. A petrol burner, when injected, helps in producing 208 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque having about 1,250 revolutions per minute along with 4,000 rpm. 

The engines work to a 7G-Tronic, 7-speed automatic transmission, which works well with the mounted steering wheel, having the paddle shift leavers and auto start/stop capability. Sprinter and Metris of Worker series are mainly available in white as a black canvas for signage and logos. The various types of roof racks can easily carry from ladders to surfboards, which are the part of MasterUpfitters.
