If you are trying to market your commercial property to get either a renter or a buyer, it can be a daunting task to complete. Where do you begin, what do you include and which parts of the property should you highlight the most? Not only that, what factors could negatively influence the property as well?
Even if you have recently renovated the space, have it all cleaned are ready to go, you’ll still need to have a bit of marketing to get the property noticed. To help you get started, here are a few tips to market your commercial property.
List as Much as Possible
The more you can get your commercial property out there, the better chance you have of it getting noticed. Without listing the property, it is hard for customers to know you are looking for tenants or buyers.
List on websites, like you would find if you searched for a New York City office space. These types of spaces work to promoting your property to get you as much traffic as possible.
Be Detailed
You never know what people are looking for until you talk to them. So to draw a variety of a crowd, list as much as you can about the property. Even features you think are not relevant to you may be necessary to the perfect tenant. The more you know about the property, the more you can talk about to catch the eyes of potential clients.
Clean it Up
It is quite off-putting to view a space that is dirty and cluttered. You are trying to sell something to someone, so you want to make it look as lovely as possible. Scrub the walls down, clean the flooring and anything else to brighten up the space. Don’t forget about the outside as well since that is the first thing people see. The cleaner the building, the better your chances are.
Be Creative
The thing about marketing is that you can be as creative as you want to be to get your listing noticed. You want your commercial property to stand out from any others that are on the market.
What makes your property better than others? Why types of features do you have? What about incentives to get people to rent or buy? Anything that will draw the people in is beneficial to you.
Outreach
Sometimes listing the property isn’t enough. You may need to do some outreach of your own. See if you can get some press coverage of your property, whether it be a write up in the local newspaper or having bloggers advertising the property.
Email and call companies that would benefit from your commercial space. Let them know it is available and how it would work for their business.
