RHOA: Phaedra Parks Divorcing Apollo Nida to Avoid Restitution Fees?

Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Phaedra Parks is expected to divorce husband Apollo Nida in order to avoid his hefty restitution fees. The question is not one of love because she loves him but feels this is a good financial decision for her and her children. Phaedra does not want to be forced to help pay the $2 million Apollo has been order to pay over the next 20 years.

Apollo was recently sentenced to eight years in prison for his involvement in a huge fraud case and must turn himself in by September 10. The 35-year-old felon, along with a group of co-conspirators, was convicted of stealing checks and identities to file fake tax returns and make fraudulent claims against the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. In addition to eight years in prison, Apollo was also hit with a $2 million restitution penalty.
