‘The Boondocks’ Returns In 2020 With Original Creator

“The Boondocks” is set to return in 2020 with intense satirical content and the original creator. This animated series which is based on creator Aaron McGruder’s comic strip returned in 2014 for its fourth season without any involvement from McGruder. Many were disappointed due to the lack of influence from the show’s main creative force.

“The Boondocks” is a series which surrounds two young boys from the South Side of Chicago who has been forced into a new suburbanized lifestyle with their grandfather in Woodcrest, Illinois. Fans have long questioned why McGruder decided to leave the show. There were all kinds of speculation and theories. Finally, McGruder himself addressed the issue on his Facebook page. Even still, he failed to directly render a solid reason for his departure. Instead, he sort of alluded to creative differences when he wrote:
