Hạng B (mới): Gộp chung hạng B1 và B2, dành cho ô tô chở người đến 9 chỗ, xe tải dưới 3.5 tấn. (Áp dụng từ 1/1/2025)

Hạng C: Dành cho ô tô tải trên 3.5 tấn.

Hạng C1 (mới): Dành cho ô tô tải từ 3.5 tấn đến 7.5 tấn. (Áp dụng từ 1/1/2025)

Hạng D: Dành cho ô tô chở người từ 10 đến 30 chỗ.

Hạng D1 (mới): Dành cho ô tô chở người từ 9 đến 16 chỗ. (Áp dụng từ 1/1/2025)

Hạng D2 (mới): Dành cho ô tô chở người từ 16 đến 29 chỗ. (Áp dụng từ 1/1/2025)

Hạng E (bị xóa bỏ): Dành cho xe kéo rơ moóc. (Không còn áp dụng từ 1/1/2025)

Các hạng bằng lái xe kéo rơ moóc (mới): BE, C1E, CE, D1E, D2E, DE. (Áp dụng từ 1/1/2025)

Luật Giao thông đường bộ 2025: “Cập nhật” thay đổi quan trọng
1. Phân hạng giấy phép lái xe: “Nâng cấp” để phù hợp hơn
Luật mới quy định 15 hạng giấy phép lái xe, thay thế cho 13 hạng hiện hành. Việc phân hạng lại bằng lái xe nhằm mục đích phù hợp hơn với thông lệ quốc tế, đáp ứng nhu cầu vận tải ngày càng đa dạng và nâng cao an toàn giao thông.
2. Thời hạn giấy phép lái xe: Không còn bằng “vĩnh viễn”
Bằng lái xe ô tô cấp trước ngày 1/1/2025 sẽ có thời hạn 10 năm kể từ ngày cấp. Điều này nhằm đảm bảo sức khỏe, tinh thần của người lái xe luôn đáp ứng yêu cầu, góp phần giảm thiểu tai nạn giao thông.
