China Issues Statements Against Google and Human Rights

The Chinese regime issued negative statements against Google using an uncensored version of Google.cn on Friday.
According to ZDnet, this was the most direct message sent by the regime to Google.
After several months of indecision, the regime finally officially said something about Google not censoring Internet search topics like “Tiananmen Square,” “Tibet,” “Falun Gong,” and “Uighur.”
China’s propaganda has in the past years increased and its “influence in world media is rising,” according to rights group Human Rights in China.
Google didn’t issue any direct statements in response to China, said CNET.
Earlier this week, Google CEO Eric Schmidt said, “Something will happen soon” in regards to the talks between the regime and Google, according to a Register article.
A recent report released by the U.S. State Department detailed the current situation in China regarding rights:
The detention and harassment of human rights activists increased, and public interest lawyers and law firms that took on cases deemed sensitive by the government faced harassment, disbarment and closure. The government limited freedom of speech and controlled the Internet and Internet access. Abuses peaked around high-profile events, such as the 20th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square uprising, the 50th anniversary of the Tibetan uprising, and the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
