Outrage Builds As Consumer Giant Costco Sells Bibles Labeled As Fiction
We live in a world where it is always open season on Christians who read and believe in God’s word, the Holy Bible. Discount giant Costco this holiday season is selling bibles labeled as fiction.
SIMI VALLEY, Calif. – (KTLA) — A pastor at a Simi Valley church made a perplexing discovery while shopping at a local Costco.
Caleb Kaltenbach, the pastor of Discovery Church, was looking for a gift for his wife when he saw Bibles labeled as “Fiction.”
So, he took a picture and tweeted it to his congregation with the caption, “Costco has Bibles for sale under the genre of fiction…hmmmm.”
“I was completely offended. I believe the Bible is real and it shouldn’t be marked fiction,” church member Shellie Dungan said.
Costco issued an apology on Wednesday.
“Costco’s distributor mislabeled a small percentage of the Bibles, however we take responsibility and should have caught the mistake. We are correcting this with them for future distribution,” Costco said in a statement. “In addition, we are immediately relabeling all mislabeled Bibles. We greatly apologize for this error.” source – WPTV

Lighten up Shellie. Yes, the Bible is real, but as Christians we need to understand that unbelievers *already* consider it fiction. Are you really that surprised this could happen? Is it even possible to you that this was a simple, honest mistake? When you display such thin skin by being offended it turns people away from Christianity and presents an easy target for us to be mocked. My suggestion to you (if you’re really that upset) would be shop at stores which bring glory to the Lord Jesus Christ and look at this situation as an opportunity to bring others to the truth of His gospel.
That’s because large portions of the bible ARE fiction, thanks to the Dark Forces who are currently on their way out from ruling our planet for many years. The original scrolls were true, but they were changed so much by those seeking to control the population that the Bible is now correctly categorized as ‘fiction’. I understand though, that soon the truth will all be revealed as ordained by God.
What was already ordained by God, Leostar, is the Dead Sea Scroll archeological find in the mid 1940′s. The preserved Old Testament manuscripts discovered in the caves at Qumran show conclusively that the entire premise of your comment is not true. The differences between the ancient texts and their modern counterparts is so miniscule as to beggar the imagination. Rather, the only plausible explanation for the negligible level to which our modern documents have been corrupted over the millennia, is Divine Intervention.
The integrity of the Bible remains intact. The Dead Sea Scrolls are tangible evidence of this truth.

Have you ever read the scrolls? Judaism and christianity are a farce. Have you ever really read your bible do you know the true history of the birth of your religion. Mosses is the founder of the judaic religion before he sat down and put your faith together the hebrew people had no clue they were a chosen people of a god. They were idol worshipers with a vast aray of gods that they belived in according to your bible mosses took his following and had to teach them and give them there new found religion. Can you say CULT leader? That is what we would lable him today. Christianity is a piggy back religion that is constantly morphing to accomidate the belifes of its belivers. Every book of the bible is writen by man it was created by humans do you really think the religion of a all powerfull and only true god would be subject to manipulation, multipule interpitation, and put in the hands of men.
