About the Development of Brother Ralphie

I had an experience with Angels.  It happened on Thanksgiving night of 1993.  I don’t think I have mentioned where this took place, but then in a way, I am not sure that matters.  In fact, I am thinking that a lot of things in my life prior to my experience with my Angels really matters, except that ALL events led up to this one major event in my life.  Now, in thinking about where this took place, I have decided that in writing in this blog, I am not going to advertise.  This will limit me to some degree because the ONLY way to make money writing posts for a blog is to advertise.  I even hesitate to mention products I use in my blog.  A good example of this is that I just bought a new laptop computer having switched from one operating system to another, mostly because of the cost involved in owning the kind of computer I had before.  Now, my saying this will more than likely give away all details to anyone who knows computers and their costs. 

I have been giving a lot of thought to how I dress.  Now, I am not a young guy as 25 years since my experience with my Angels would suggest.  I say I am semi-retired, which I am doing several things on the side just so I can stay busy and keep my mind sharp.  But this does not detract anything from the experience with my Angels, which is basically the subject matter of my writings as Brother Ralphie.  I could make this an autobiographical blog writing about my childhood and all my sins prior to my experience with my Angels, but I prefer to write about now.  What matters most to me is what my Angels mean to me today, for example, and what they will mean in the future.  In my saying this, I am looking forward to the coming of the Messiah, but then I claim to know how He will judge the WORLD when He arrives with His Heavenly Hosts.  I would prefer to write about these, things, but the fact is, I sit in a bedroom in our apartment that we have arranged into a kind of “office.”  This room contains a printer, my laptops, my monitor, an easy chair, my CD collection, my books, records, and stuff on a bookcase, my Angel collection, and my TV among furnishings and pictures on the walls.  I call it “Brother Ralphie’s Office,” but it’s a place where guests can spend a few nights, if necessary. 

Now, the point is that I am developing this character I am calling Brother Ralphie, who really is the one who speaks and writes for my Angels.  This is what is most important to me, which brings me to the point I want to make this morning.  Some people might think about me wearing a suit or maybe at least a  shirt and tie.  Actually, since I say I am “semi-retired,” I am giving a lot of careful consideration to how I dress.  Now, I have to wear brand clothing from time to time.  I drive a car that isn’t generic.  It’s a brand name car.  I own brand name products and even invest in the companies that make my products I own.  But right now, I am wearing a sweatsuit that I slept in over night.  I am comfortable.  And I think as Brother Ralphie, what I wear is just as important to me as to what I say, but I just don’t want to wear a suit or a shirt and tie.  I would prefer to wear better sweats and by “better” I don’t mean a cheap sweatshirt or cheap sweatpants.  But at the same time, I don’t want to pay $650 for a sweatshirt that advertises for a designer.  In fact, I would prefer that my sweats would be recognized as being generic in nature without any logos and advertising on them.  But sometimes that is like buying a generic car.  It can’t be done.  And I am not saying that one brand is better than another because in fact, if I wear sweats, more than likely I will wear tennis shoes that also has the manufactuer’s logo on them.  I can’t help that. 

My point is that I prefer to do as little advertising for ANYONE or anything in regard to all I do as BR.  I want to be generic.  I want all I do to be generic.  BUT my Angels aren’t generic, so I don’t want anything that would detract from what I say for them as Brother Ralphie.  This can be difficult in a very Capitalistic Society.  My point is that as I develop into Brother Ralphie, there are so many things I need to consider in all I do.  I am not a wealthy man and I think what I wear should reflect this even if I were to be wealthy for whatever reason.  My Angels are for EVERYONE, and I think that in all I say and do, my Angels need to reflect that I am NOT someone who is THAT special.  I am NOT divine.  I can claim I had an experience with Angels and other than sharing what I claim they told me, I am NOT in any way shape or form THAT special.  I am a human being and if you have any doubts about that you can ask anyone who knows me otherwise.  But no matter what I do, I am still Brother Ralphie and in my thinking NOTHING can change that.  I had an experience with Angels and there is nothing I can undo what God has already done.  Peace.  I am Brother Ralphie writing for my Angels from The Angels of Life Institute.  Brother Ralphie works from his study for the promotion of Peaceful living and inner Peace with God.
