-Devotion and Prayer for the Day: Psalm 29

Join us in today’s prayer and devotion-

Read Psalm 29 and then join us in prayer:

Our Father,

Praise your name and the name of your Son Jesus. All things have been created and continue in their order according to your Holy Spirit. All nature is subject to your Word and declaration.

We live in a world where many people in your creation declare their own words and call it science and ignore what you have said and done in past generations. So many are worshipping creation rather than its Creator. They are declaring that nature is out of control but you continue to rule over creation and nothing happens which is not under your control or permission.

We cry unto you to show your authority over creation and silence the mouths of those who think they know something and demonstrate their real ignorance. Call forth your believers and inspire them as your did in former generations and in ancient times. Let your Word be declared in their midst and let your Kingdom come down with power and miracles demonstrating the truth.

Strengthen your people once more to withstand the onslaught of unbelievers. Bring forth healing and signs and wonders in their midst and let them bring hope and love to everyone they come in contact with in the name of your Son. Let them demonstrate unity and concern for all people in a culture that seems to encourage anger and divisiveness on many different levels.
