Repentance is the only real form of therapy.

It comes from the heart, heals body mind and soul, as well as the heart, as all three are involved but the heart is the missing ingredient in a lot of cases, which is why it should be emphasised.

You could spend your life savings on therapy when simply searching your soul for the things you got wrong, the things you missed or avoided doing, recognising the wrong and being humble enough to repent, wise enough to repent.
You will feel healing of those wrongs in very short time and it would be as if you hadn’t done them, as long as you are being truthful and not fake. Also the harm they have done will be healed spiritually and physical healing also mysteriously ties in to this as well, as your body and soul are connected.

We are not constantly aware of the above, and need to be reminded from time to time, by ourselves or others.
When things go wrong and when you get a quiet moment, reflect and know that the repair shop is a simple heartfelt repentance away.
I believe that this is because Christ has paid the penalty, that forgiveness and healing comes from that, but there is no forgiveness, no healing without repentance. It costs nothing but discipline and its ripples go out from ourselves and our own healing to the whole world.
