Radiation and chemicals control the other half minus 10% who belong to Gods kingdom.
Seek to be in this 10% who belong to Gods kingdom. You can still be saved if your heart is right with God even though you are a radiological and chemical victim without knowing it.
You may think you belong to Gods kingdom but better be sure by constant conversion of your heart towards God, His Will, His love and love of neighbour. Then no matter what they throw at you as long as you have done everything in your power to avoid it constantly re evaluating and repenting of every weakness, every personal misgiving then you have Jesus as your advocate before the Father and his judgment will not fall.
This is entirely a personal condition and between you and God alone.
Therefore may God Himself lead you. This is the prayer of the faithful on every continent who want everyone to be saved, and as God himself does. But if it cost Christ his life do you really think God will spare yours in the process? Christ himself teaches us in the gospels. “No student is greater than his master and if they persecuted me they will persecute you also.”
Christ is “the way” and not just “the truth and the life.” 
The good news is that he is your personal companion when you open up your heart to Him. And this companionship is friend and shepherd, in reality you can have this experience with God.
