Our Lady of Mount Carmel

On July 16 the Church celebrates the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Mount Carmel is the mountain in the middle of the plain of Galilee on which the prophet Elijah called down a miracle of fire from the Lord, to show the people of Israel who had strayed that “The Lord is God!” and that the prophets of Baal were worshipping a false god.
There is a tradition that traces the Carmelite Order’s informal beginnings to the prophet Elijah himself, even though there is no evidence of this.
The formal beginnings are attributed to a group of monks who, in the 13th century, began living and praying on the mountain. They venerated the Virgin Mary as Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and from this veneration was derived the name Carmelite.
In 1226 the rule of the order was approved by Pope Honorius III, and 21 years later St. Simon Stock, an Englishman, was elected superior of the order. On July 16, 1251, the Blessed Virgin appeared to Simon and gave him the brown scapular and promised her protection to all those who wear the brown habit.
Pope Pius X decreed in the early 20th century that this blessing of the Blessed Virgin would extend to all who wear the medal of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
The feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel was instituted by the Carmelites sometime between 1376 and 1386.

Here is a testimonial that this typing hand is asked to tell one more time. It is about the scapular’s direct effects. That story has been told already under the same limited readership format on various comment sections in either the English or the French, but is to be repeated again.
Back in Summer 2008, a militant had been attending reunions of the Medjugorje cult held weekly at the San Bruno’s church in San Bruno, Ca. -a part of the diocese of San Francisco. Our militant is one of those individual who had experienced visions and a brief apparition (of an angel), among other para-normal events, which are not to be told in this particular comment. All had started since early January of year 2005. This said militant, was regarded with suspicion, which is very normal, but since he held his peace, he was never ostracized, and was even invited to attend the séances of the Medjugorje cult, where the visionaries reported direct visit from the Virgin of Medjugorje. Our militant ‘felt’ some presence, but never saw anything, while when questioned, the visionaries affirmed to see & hear the Virgin at all time, who gave the invariable message “to her little children to pray, and pray”. The crowd, mainly Hispanic & Pilipino was considerable.
One evening a priest dress with a black-brown habit (Franciscan?) came. He did not speak English, so a translator was trailing him. He was from Bolivia, which had been devastated by an earthquake on this past month of April, and…

He was from Bolivia, which had been devastated by an earthquake on this past month of April, and candidly told that he was here begging for money to the Americanos. He offered what he could, that is to bless, homes, factories et cetera, and also offered a scapular. Our militant, can you imagine! had never hear of the scapular, so he volunteer to receive it after the mass which had been said by what later appear to be a Carme/Priest. It must be added a detail, which will become very important by the end of this narrative: The Carme did not participate to the séances of the Medjugorje cult, because he stayed in the confessional during this whole time. All the Mexicans returning from confession were in tears. Our militant regret not speaking Spanish, sensing a spiritual director above average, and with a ear for the ‘abnormal’.
Our militant received the scapular while being imposed hand by this holy Carme. It is a few hours later, that the effect of receiving the scapular turned to be dramatic.
While praying a rosary, a witch appear in plain sight at a corner of the room (a standard office size room). She was hirsute, and appear visibly to be disagreeably surprised. She was shaking her head. Then a friar/monk appear in front of our militant as a shield against the witch. The monk was kneeling but was neither looking at the militant, nor at the witch. … Our militant subsequently, concluded that the kneeling monk avoided looking directly at him due to the ugliness of his own soul. Who was this mysterious monk? Saint Francis of Assisi came to mind, but now, it appear to probably having been St. Simon Stock. The kneeling monk slowly disappear. The witch also was gone. There is no doubt that this incident was the result of receiving the scapular. There has been sequels to this supernatural incident: The Virgin of Medjugorje ceased to visit San Bruno’s church. Then and other result (of receiving the scapular) when a few weeks later in Fall 2008, our militant, while praying during the night at the chapel of perpetual adoration of this same San Bruno’s church had a horrific vision of the altar turning as the rubrics of a black mass. The drapes turned black, the golden monstrance turned putter and all the candles became black. This vision lasted a few instants, while no-one else in the small silent crowd of faithful seemed disturbed. The vision has occur while our militant was achieving praying the Luminous Mysteries of the Chaplet of John-Paul. In addition the chapel is dominated by a giant poster of the Divine Mercy. Later, a few years later, after learing more, our militant recognized the diabolical nature of those devotions of the “Luminous Mysteries” and of the “Divine Mercy”.
This witnessing reported is true, and is without a doubt a series of events related to the holy scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
