Poor woman, Lesedi Molapisi from Botswana abused by Nigerian man to carry Drugs into Bangladesh
Lesedi Molapisi is a 30 year old woman from Botswana who was arrested in 2022 in Bangladesh after her bag was found with 3kgs of illegal drugs - heroin. The penalty for carrying drugs into this country is death. Lesedi is at Dhaka Prison now.
A Nigerian man named Evans Chukara gave Lesedi a bag containing these Drugs.
It is reported that investigators are trying to locate this man of no fixed abode in Johannesburg, South Africa.
It is also reported that a tour company from South Africa sponsored Lesedi to go to Bangladesh to buy garments.
All the evidence shows that this woman was abused to carry Drugs to Bangladesh, I am sure she was not even aware that she was carrying drugs.
Lesedi does not make nor trade in Drugs in Botswana. She is poor and her parents are poor people.
All of us Africans, we must rally behind this woman from Botswana. We must not allow this injustice to take place. It’s an insult to all of us Africans. We must not allow Bangladesh to execute this woman.
The culprits here are the Tour Company of Drugs from South Africa and a Nigerian man named Evans Chukara.
South Africa must investigate this man and the Tour Company which wanted garments. If possible extradite him to Bangladesh to answer for his drug trade.
The Bangladesh government must do the right thing and return Lesedi home to Botswana.
