Zimbabwean Journalists Face Backlash After Exposing Privileges Amidst Suffering
Two Zimbabwean journalists, Tafadzwa Jumo and Carte Blanche, have faced a massive backlash from their fellow citizens after revealing that they receive over 90 days annual (after paying bribes) to live in South Africa. This exposé has sparked outrage among Zimbabweans who are struggling to make ends meet amidst severe droughts and widespread poverty.

The South African government has been urged to intervene and address the issues faced by undocumented immigrants, who are frequently forced to pay bribes ranging from R1000 to R5000.
Despite these challenges, Zimbabweans are making significant contributions to the South African economy. They rent homes, purchase goods worth millions to send back to Zimbabwe, and pay taxes. However, operations by the Home Affairs department that incite xenophobia and lead to police demanding bribes must be stopped.
