Most Americans are far more frightened of our current government today, then they are of an Ebola outbreak.

Americans fear an abusive, power hungry administration, would create a false flag operation such as an Ebola outbreak as a way to round up Americans, certain kinds of Americans.

How horrible life would become for you and me, if we were on a government list and became one of those detained in any of these quarantine centers because they “claimed” you are a possible carrier of some deadly disease.

What abuses of governmental power would we see, if say political dissidents, freedom fighters or Christians are rounded up in the middle of the night, said to be sick and taken away to these quarantine camps.

No wonder Americans are leery of their out of control government, when boarders are deliberately left porous, even as the largest-ever outbreak of Ebola rages on in a cluster of West African nations. What other country in the world permits just about anyone illegal to enter without any consequences?

The planned evacuation of at least one infected American to the United States raises the question: WHY? what could they possibly want to do, by bringing infected Americans back here, rather then treat them just like everyone else in Africa. and most importantly are we even equipped to deal with this disease here?

So some CDC director recently told reporters  that an ebola outbreak is “not in the cards,” but how could he be so sure that accidents don’t happen, deliberate accidents.

The United States has excellent infection control procedures and facilities. But still we see outbreaks of flesh eating bacteria in Florida, or MRSA, ESBL, MDRO, totally out of control in most hospitals.

America has facilities, a network of quarantine stations, where the CDC can legally detain anyone who may have been exposed to cholera, diphtheria, infectious tuberculosis, plague, smallpox, yellow fever, SARS, new strains of flu, or – relevantly – viral hemorrhagic fevers like Ebola.

A Brief History Of Our Quarantine System

A yellow fever outbreak led to the country’s first quarantine center and hospital, set up in Philadelphia in 1799. In 1944, a new law gave the federal government the authority to quarantine people, a responsibility formally taken over by the CDC in 1967.

In the 1970s, according to the CDC, the number of quarantine stations was reduced “from 55 to 8 because infectious diseases were thought to be a thing of the past.”

But within the past decade, fears of bio-terrorism after September 11 and the 2003 SARS epidemic prompted the U.S. to more than double the number of quarantine stations. There are now 20 scattered across the U.S., primarily at “ports of entry and land-border crossings where international travelers arrive.”
