Entire La. Sinkhole Parish On Shutdown, Homeland Security Monitoring
Louisiana State Police have shut down the entire parish where Louisiana’s giant sinkhole is, saying it is due to Winter Storm Leon. The police say Assumption Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness will continuously monitor this situation.
The sinkhole is a historic event, unprecedented. Winter Storm Leon’s impact directly on the sinkhole are unknown.

With John Boudreaux head of Homeland Security there, I’m sure people feel more comfortable than if anyone else was in charge during this storm.
I’m not sure if you’re being sarcastic, but i think i like him. he’s either a bad guy or a good guy in a bad spot. i find myself in his corner. i do not question his loyalty to LA i just wonder how much help he could possibly get from his ”boss”. I’m certain they are ringing their hands, waiting on the moment they can blame him!!
We’ve already had colder and rainier weather than what we are currently receiving, this Winter without a shutdown. I am curious why so much precaution is being taken across the area when the conditions don’t really warrant such actions. No snow is forecast now for the Gulf South in Louisiana and we are only forecast to get light rain and temperatures that should remain just at or above freezing. This is not an emergency although there is a slight chance some bridges and overpasses might freeze if the temperature were to drop low enough. At present, the highs are in the forties and the lows in the mid-30′s. Again, how does this constitute a two to three day shutdown?

winter weather? where?
send the entire staff of homeland security there, hope they all fall in, and cover it up. Then hope that the FBI, CIA,NSA, also go there to investigate what happened to their communist and traitors from homeland security and another miraculously opens up and swallows them. Hopefully this will scare the living crap out of the bankers, the lawyers, the judges, the politicians from every level up to the white house, and they commit suicide, or go mad and or retire and hide.
Maybe the shutdown IS due to the storm .. But a follow-up of this is definitely worth watching ..
Well the liberals can say global warming caused the polar vortex that now can create sink holes by freezing the ground…. yepp that will work for the average smhoo.
