Opinion from THESorrentino.com: New Dem Judiciary Com. Chair wants to end FBI DOJ investigation, Let them off the hook

If there was one really legitimate reason for non-partisans to have kept the House from falling into the hands of the Democrats it was that the Democrats have absolutely no interest in exposing anything that happened in Comey’s FBI and Obama’s Department of Justice with regard to Trump. The Dems want to cordon off this part of the anti-Trump efforts. The old media has done little to cover what looks like very nasty actions within the FBI and DOJ before and after Trump’s election. If any untoward anti-Trump actions came out in such a way that even the old media could not deny, that there was an effort by what can be called legitimately “the deep state” to undermine the Republic, all that the Democrats have sought to do over the last 2 years would come crashing down. That, simply can – not – happen. And now it looks like it won’t. 

The Dems now think they have cover. That anything former CIA director Brennan did, Clapper did, or Comey did, or anyone else on that side of the equation did during before and after the election of Mr. Trump can be obfuscated and potentially may fall outside of the statute of limitations if the Dems do their “job”. There is little interest in getting legitimate justice. 

There is every interest in “getting” President Trump. The Dems know they have most of the media on their side and that the media is what helped get them the House. Now the media and the Democrats will turn a blind eye to what may have been the most egregious effort in the history of the US to deny the American people a duly elected president. A president that the Democrats and perhaps even more importantly the bureaucracy found abhorrent.

The Dems know the media have their back and any conspiracy (and that is a legitimate word here) at the FBI, DOJ or elsewhere will be denied and covered up. We should expect nothing less. And all your cries of “it’s not fair” or “bias” won’t matter. 

The Democrats in the House are playing a different game than you if you think fairness or bias mean anything to them. 

The Dems know they aren’t fair. They know that the government employees in the “deep state” are working on their behalf in far too many (at least for the American people) respects. 

“Justice” is a quaint concept for the politicos who came up in the Clinton/Obama Democratic Party. There are no Moynihans any more. There is only a quest for power. 

Justice be damned.
