When The Greedy Ignore the Needy

At this time of year, we remember that famous work by Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol”. We all know the story of Ebenezer Scrouge and his transformation from a greedy old geezer to one of the most benevolent figures in literature. Sad to say today there aren’t many that have gone through a transformation like good old Scrouge.

So many of the world’s problems can be solved like in A Christmas Carol when the greedy actually take care of the needy. To have balance in societies, nature and the environment takes mankind’s humanity to ease the needless suffering and gaping wounds being inflicted by man’s greed.

Someone once said that money makes the world go around. That may be true. But it also takes money used as a tool for the greater good of all of mankind. The travesties that continue to plague humanity can be negated when there is no longer that thirst for power, control and wealth within man. Just like Scrouge mankind has to have that transformation within their souls to actually see what humanity has and continues to do to our world.

Too often though those so few who have amassed great wealth chose a more oblivious side to the deplorable conditions millions the world over are being forced to live under. When there is great wealth there has to be great responsibility and yet the great responsibility of great wealth is being wasted by the outright greed of those few who have great wealth. There are some who use that wealth wisely but the vast majority of those who are in positions of power and influence have been blinded by the allure of that great wealth.

As a new year is fast approaching where so many trials and tribulations are facing mankind it should be quite obvious to all that humanity has been manipulated by those few who have great wealth. Manipulated only to be deceived and beguiled into believing that the wealth of nations is being used for the greater good of all mankind. 

In the United States the supposably richest nation today our great wealth has not impacted our society. In fact, the quality of life for millions of Americans has deteriorate just within the past 40 years. Our governments responsibility has yet to use our great wealth for the betterment of all Americans and even for millions all around the world.

The money game that continues to be played by our elected officials past and present Administrations is a testament to the outright greed by all the lobbyists who funnel untold billions into the campaign coffers of all our elected officials.’ All the while the US economy continues to be in such a downward spiral contrary to what this Administration and the mainstream media keep insisting that without immediate reforms any hope of saving our nation will be lost.  

An American travesty is already upon us. And until we realize what great wealth in the hands of the needy can do the world will be forever controlled by those whose thirst for more power, control and wealth. Remember that Ebenezer Scrouge mentality will only create more tempests for all of mankind.
