My fellow Rebels:

The time has come for me to end RebelTraders. I fully realize and understand that I still have many followers out there who want to hear my thoughts and views of the markets, but family matters are increasingly taking more of my time and I don’t see an end to those commitments.

Recently ‘Rebel Mom’ has taken a nasty fall and wound up in the hospital. She is currently in a rehabilitation facility where she is doing her very best to recover from some bone breaks. The ever increasing needs of family has, and is, taking a lot of my time.

I started RebelTraders on May 17th 2007. In the beginning it was on Google’s blogger platform. Then as it grew quickly I moved to my own domain and server shortly thereafter. Around the time of late 2007 I warned people of a nasty bear market, and discussed the reasons why the market would fall. Those predictions proved to be right unfortunately.  I say unfortunately because there were so many people who still lost essentially their entire life savings in the market when it crashed in late 2007 and throughout 2008.

When it comes to the markets I have been around the block way too many times to just ignore the warning signs of impending trouble. While the markets have enjoyed a rather nice rebound since the early part of 2009 I want my readers to know that I STILL see the same conditions for a severe market retraction. In much the same way I was ridiculed in 2007 for my predictions I expect nothing different now. But that is OK, I fully realize there are many individuals who view the current market condiotions as a sign of a healthy and prosperious reboud and to those I say good luck.

It is sad for me to to write this farewell post. I truly and sincerely have loved what I have done here. I take great pride and joy in writing my thoughts, my rants on the videos, and so forth. But the time has come for me to cut loose what I have come to realize I don’t have the time for anymore. It is a funny thing thing we call getting older. In that getting older we get side tracked with other matters, and some of those matters are family and family ALWAYS comes first.

You must beleive me when I say that ending Rebel Traders  was a tough decision and it brings a tremendous amound of personal sadness to do so. But, it is not fair to keep my loyal readers hanging on while they wait for me to make the next video or post my latest marfket observations. It is with great sadness that I have arrived at this decision.

What I hope to do before the month of May is over is do one final market video. In it I will cover a very broad market view and where I still see things going, and why.

I will leave the site up and running as it has been so that those individuals who have been utilitizing the chat room can continue to do so for as long as possible.

Since May 17th 2007 when Rebel Traders was born I have become friends with a great many people. That friendship will not be lost just because I end this one chapter. I sincerely hope I will be able to maintain that friendship offline. To those who have followed me from the beginning all I can say is “thank you”, your loyality and your perservanince is comforting. You are wonderful people who I will NEVER forget. It is because of people like you that gives me hope that this nation can someday rise and become the industrial powerhouse it once was.

For the record… Any nation that attempts to substainate itself by becomming a nation of easy debt is a nation that is destined to fail, and that is STILL where America is headed I’m afraid to say. I still see a lot of hardship and pain for Americans in the years ahead, irrespective of the stock market.

And when it comes to the stock market I remain very confident that there will a return to the secular bear market, the one that will not end until 2015 or thereabouts.

I will do my best to do one final video before the month of May ends. I will post here when that video is up and available for viewing.

To my many friends out there I say thank you, you have truly touched me in ways you may never know. I am forever grateful for your support and friendship throughout these years. While I have dome my best to keep you abreast of situations that put your money at risk you have rewarded me even more with your kindness and friendship.

Right now family is taking my full attention, I’m sure you will understand. Some of you out there who have become close friends fully understand what has been going on in my family and to those people I give a warm thank you for your words of support through these difficult times. My family has enjoyed those words of encourgement and support in more ways than you may realize.

As a person who never likes saying goodbye I’ll just say watch for my latest video sometime this motnh and from there we’ll see what transpires. For now I wish everyone a wonderfdul, happy, healthy, and prosperous 2011 and beyond!
