Babyboomers Killed Detroit--Now They're Setting Their Sights On Nation

Blame it all on those greedy Boomers. If they hadn’t wanted housing, jobs, financial security and a free world, we wouldn’t be in this mess.

Those nasty WWII vets and their greed. The GI Bill, VA Loans–welfare, welfare I say. They should never have gotten welfare. And pensions, why do Boomers think they have a right to Social Security, pensions, IRAs, 401k retirement.

I have it on good authority that people were not supposed to retire. They are supposed to work until they drop, and make room for more workers. f only they’d stayed on the farms and small towns, ekeing out a living, not daring to dream that there could be more.

Detroit’s fate is best summed up by the phrase “Demographics is destiny.”

Take a look at the following chart on Detroit’s population growth since 1840. The golden age of the U.S. car manufacturing industry (1930-1980) maintained Detroit’s population consistently above 1.5 million.

Fifty years is more than enough time for at least two generations to become conditioned to expect certain outcomes based on past experiences. The social mood is one of “That’s the way it has been and that’s the way it will stay.”

So all of you old farts need to turn your pensions over to the government so they can fund their wars, prisons and indoctrination schools.
