US proxy militias in Afghanistan “enforce their will through beatings and rape”, say new reports.

But former Afghan politician Malalai Joya, who was ejected from the government “for publicly denouncing the presence of warlords and war criminals in the Afghan Parliament”, has been speaking for years on the brutality of the Taliban, which came into and consolidated its power with open US backing, the current US-backed warlords and drug dealers, and the US/NATO imperial occupation.
