It’s good to acknowledge who your true friends are in times of crisis, but Erdogan was gripping Putin’s hand a little too tightly at the G20 summit in China.

President Obama and the U.S. diplomatic team treated the leader of Egypt almost like an invisible man at the G20 summit in China. In fact, he was being treated like a pariah everywhere he turned. The guy might as well have stayed home, where he is much more popular. The Egyptian people know he saved them from the nightmare that would have befell them had the radical and undemocratic Muslim Brotherhood been allowed to remain in power. But Sisi is living on borrowed time. An Egyptian businessman with close links to the Sisi regime said in the beginning of this year that, “If his support when he was elected was 93 percent, it is now down to 60 percent” (Source: Foreign Policy).
