Company Talent Profile Webinar Recap

Thank you to everyone who joined in on yesterday’s Company Talent Profile webinar. Product Owner Sheridan Benard and Marketing Director Cara Christopher provided an in-depth overview of the new Company Talent Profile, including:

• Specific use cases
• Why it was developed
• Supporting data sources
• How to read, analyze, and use the report

The Company Talent Profile is the newest way to understand your local company’s talent needs. In a few clicks, you will learn everything you need about the talent they have and the talent they want. The report includes current employee job titles and skills, employment gaps and hiring activity over time, and regional companies competing for the same talent.

We received a handful of great questions and suggestions from webinar participants that we have summarized below.

1) When can we start using the Company Talent Profile, and is there an additional cost associated with it?

The Company Talent Profile is now available to all users with Job Posting Analytics, Workforce/Alumni Insight, and Talent Analyst at no additional cost. If you’re interested in these data sets and the new report, reach out to your account manager or contact us for more details.

2) What data is driving the Company Talent Profile?

The Company Talent Profile is pulling job posting data (employer demand) from 83 million postings, 1 million companies, and 50,000 sites, and online resume data (employer supply) from 110 million profiles and 8 million companies, covering two-thirds of the workforce. The company data is only as good as the online posting and profile activity, so some gaps may be present with smaller or more rural companies.

3) Is there a way to proactively find employers that need our talent?

Not yet, but this type of company monitoring is exactly where we want to take this new report. We are hoping to develop multiple company searches, Excel downloads, and monitoring so you can be proactive in both your talent and company engagement. We will continue to evolve and develop this product, so feel free to provide feedback as you use it. So far, we have heard that “when we meet with businesses, this will help us feel and sound smart.”
