We’re excited to have the Strada Institute for the Future of Work lead a keynote at Emsi2019, taking place September 16-18 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Our ninth annual users’ conference, Emsi2019 is the labor market analytics event for innovative problem-solvers in talent analytics, higher education, and workforce & economic development. The theme is “Lead & Engage: How to Use Labor Market Data Like a Pro.” See the agenda. Register here.

The Strada Institute team will launch their brand new report, “The 2030 Job Market,” a national and regional analysis of the labor market demand for various careers based on projected job growth, wages, and automation risk. Featuring Emsi data, this analysis synthesizes a range of labor market data to identify a positive, pragmatic, and future-oriented outlook of the jobs of the future, while highlighting critical differences in the geography of jobs. Takeaways include 1) the “knowledge economy” is here to stay; 2) new middle-wage jobs are not what they used to be; 3) low-wage jobs will be the most at risk in the future.
