The US banks are not collapsing, the average since 2016 was 7 per year in 2018 none in the US went under at all and there are only 4 this year, 2 in October, 1 in November and 1 in May all of which were private state banks, there are over 6799 Federal insured banks the fail rate is about 0.07% the number of banks has fallen since 2002 when there was a peak of 7,800 FDIC insured banks. The largest number of failures was in 2008 with 485, in 2007 it was an average of 10 per year.
