One of the reasons why the stock market has been increasing is due to the many hundreds of thousands of new accounts set up in TD Ameritrade, Fidelity, Robin Hood, etc. There are lots of laid off Americans sitting at home investing in the market because of Fear of MIssing Out. In turn, the Federal Reserve is destroying price discovery with its flooding with fake digital currency so these new investors are getting sucked into a vortex.

Honestly, I’m really worried. I’m a tech professional and I’ve always had a steady stream of work and taken it for granted. Usually Feb and March there a flood of new contracts – this year there was nothing, still isn’t. I’m living on savings and I’m really concerned about where this is going and how long I might be out of work for. This is a serious wake up call for a lot of people.

I don’t understand when the recession really sets in, seems like the opposite of what I believe should happen is happening every time.
