Three House Candidate Endorsements

We are proud to announce our support today for three outstanding candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives.

As you may know, each election cycle SCF endorses promising House candidates as part of our House Conservatives Project, which is designed to build a farm team of potential future Senate candidates.

Our first three House endorsements for 2016 are:

1. Jim Banks (R-IN-03)
2. Mary Thomas (R-FL-02)
3. Jim Duncan (R-NC-02)

These candidates are all true conservatives, have strong grassroots support, and can win the primary and general elections with your help.

Please make a contribution to their campaigns today.

SCF will pay all of the processing fees and transfer 100% of your candidate contributions directly to their campaigns.

If every SCF member pitched in $25 or more for each of these candidates, we could get them the support they need to win.

Here’s some additional background on these candidates and their races:

JIM BANKS (R-INDIANA)

Jim Banks is running for the Republican nomination in Indiana’s open 3rd congressional district. Banks is an officer in the Navy, a businessman, and a state senator. He’s fought to defend our liberties from Afghanistan to Indianapolis. In the state legislature, Banks has fought to stop “card check” legislation sought by the labor unions, to defeat the state death tax, and to advance legislation against Common Core. He’s running a strong campaign, but faces an establishment candidate who can self-fund his campaign. Jim Banks is the right choice for conservatives and he needs our support to win.

MARY THOMAS (R-FL)

Mary Thomas is running for the Republican nomination in Florida’s open 2nd congressional district. She’s a constitutional lawyer and member of the Federalist Society who vetted judicial nominees in Florida for Governor Rick Scott’s administration. Thomas is the daughter of first-generation immigrants from India and knows personally the value of living the American Dream. Her primary opponent is a liberal Republican who is supported by the establishment in Washington and Tallahassee. He lobbied for Obamacare when he worked for the Florida Medical Association and opposes Obamacare’s repeal. Mary Thomas is the clear choice for conservatives and she needs our support.

JIM DUNCAN (R-NC)

Jim Duncan is challenging Congresswoman Renee Ellmers (R-NC) for the Republican nomination in North Carolina’s 2nd congressional district. Duncan is a successful businessman who also served in the National Guard. He’s a committed conservative who got involved in politics through the local Tea Party movement because of his concern about the direction of our country. Duncan’s primary opponent, Renee Ellmers, has a dismal record in Congress. She has an “F” grade from Conservative Review and famously fought to defeat a pro-life, 20-week abortion ban. Ellmers also voted with the Democrats to protect President Obama’s unconstitutional executive amnesty program and to reauthorize the Export-Import bank. Jim Duncan is the best candidate in this race and deserves the support of all conservatives.
