Chapter 43: How to Deal with a 21st Century American Woman--One night stand that stands out

          Coming back from Alaska on the Taku steamship, he glanced ­toward her at a dining table.  She wore bush pants and hiking ­boots.  Her dark hair flowed over her shoulders and a string of ­beads hung around her neck.  He joined her, feeling a positive response in her demeanor.  They had both traveled in Alaska for ­the summer and were headed home to begin working at ‘real’ jobs. ­ Later, on the deck of the ship, they watched meteor showers ­streaking across the night sky.  While on the railing, she put ­her hand in his.  He responded by enclosing her in his arms.  She ­had been so long without a man, she melted into his body.  They ­kissed.  One thing led to another and she took him to her pack at ­a hidden corner of the deck.  Their passion exploded in mutual­ physical pleasure. 

          A one night stand.  Most men have had one.  Many women have enjoyed a one night stand. It was wild and­ passionate, and they couldn’t believe their luck.  A man never ­knows when one is going to happen.  It takes him by surprise. ­ It’s fun and frivolous, however, it could be dangerous for a man­ in the 21^st century.

          Always carry a condom.  That way, you could live to tell ­about it!
