Dana Durnford (Recently Arrested) Tells His Story on Richie Allen Show

Many people wish there were no nuclear power or bombs. Radiation from Fukushima going into the Pacific Ocean is not good, no amount of radiation safe, many of us following this Fukushima story for a long time and sympathetic with Mr. Durnford’s nuclear viewpoint. On the other hand, if a scientist has provided measurements that somebody doesn’t like, then it’s up to us to get more measurements, from a number of sources, not offhand accuse the scientist studying the problem of being in on some conspiracy and not sanctioning threats to murder him, because his measurements don’t match some personal apocalyptic hysteria. It seems to me scientists doing something to assess the problem, in the first place, is what everybody wants, and it’s moronic to hold a gun to their heads, if the results don’t match our propaganda skew. We want and need as many measurements as possible.

If Mr. Durnford believes murder is a proper approach, if the news isn’t going his way, perhaps he’d make a better nazi than a credible reporter or human being. Mr. Durnford has zero right to threaten the safety of any other human being. I want to see contradictory science that proves the scientists in question wrong, not psychotic spew from some unbalanced YouTuber, want proof the problems are radiation, and not disease with resultant problems in the food chain that can very well be, and have been, historic problems, prior to Fukushima. Many things can upset a delicate ecological balance. But, again, Mr. Durnford deciding we need to unleash executioners on scientists with data we don’t like is, well, plain idiocy, and you can’t legally go around threatening mortal violence against others and expect to long get away with this.

Mr. Durnford has for a very long time now been allowed to put forth any and all views, is clearly not being taken to task for being anti-nuclear, rather the charge is that he is advocating and inciting murder. If so, it’s a legitimate viewpoint he needs some serious rehabilitation, as well as any such videos taken down. Inciting violent crime against other citizens is not protected speech. It is not a conspiracy to be arrested for violating the law in this way. Think about it a second: the charge is not for being anti-nuclear, and I’ve seen some very violent rants from the man and much narcissistic self promotion, to where I rightfully questioned his mental balance, finding his lack of actual facts and data behind those rants unproductive to even listen to. Pictures of dead sea stars don’t make the radiation case. What makes or breaks the radiation case are measurements by scientists it appears Mr. Durnford would like executed, for measuring the radiation. Makes sense to me.

Come to think of it, why aren’t all you conspiracy wingnuts making the case it’s Durnford engaged in a conspiracy to silence his opposition? Did any scientists call for Mr. Durnford’s murder?
