United By Blue’s is a clothing line whose state that their mission is ocean conservation, the company helps to clear up water pollution with the sales of their products. For each United by Blue product sold the company will remove one pound of trash from the oceans, beaches, rivers, streams, creeks, or lakes. So far the company have held 207 clean up days and removed over 1,051,079 pounds of trash.

Yoox Loves The Reef

Yoox have launched an initiative with the ‘We Are Handsome’ collection to fund the research for helping the great barrier reef recover from the damage made to it in recent years.. Over 93% of the Australian Great Barrier Reef has been affected by coral bleaching and there have been huge losses of coral in recent years. The company launched the line on 22nd of April 2017 as part of Earth Day, discussing that despite the Great Barrier Reef being one of the seven wonders of the world it was being destroyed as a result of environmental distress. Proceeds from each sale go towards The Great Barrier Reef Foundation who fund research and initiatives to save the reef.

Alternative Apparel uses non-toxic, low-impact dyes in all their eco-fabrics, the company has over 80% of its garments made with sustainable resources. The company states they provide fashion basics for a more sustainable future by creating products made out of organic and pima-cotton and various eco-fabrics and materials. G Star Raw

G Star Raw is slightly different to its counterparts as the company takes plastics from the oceans and turns them into a line of jeans called ‘Raw for the Oceans’, the company states that it is committed to creating products with minimal environmental impact. The company even signed up Pharrell Williams as a spokesperson and designer for some of their products.

Threads for Thought have been in business for over a decade with the aim of making the fashion industry more sustainable. The brand uses organic cottons, recycled polyester, and lenzing modal in their products to create a more sustainable alternative for the more fashion and eco-conscious buyer. The company dedicates its work towards changing the future of fashion, stating that the textile industry is the third most polluting industry on the planet.
