Name the guilty. The Sun’s ‘source’ for its Hillsborough story was ….. Tory MP Sir Irvine Patnick.

Why the deafening silence over who Sun editor Kelvin Mckenzie’s ‘source’ was for the disgusting lies he printed in his infamous article about the Hillsborough disaster?

It was – according to Mckenzie himself – former Tory MP for Sheffield Hallam* Sir Cyril Irvine Patnick (who wasn’t even present at the match).

Why is this fact not being talked about?

Is it for fear of politicising the tragedy? Or – more likely – the fear of being sued by him for libel? 

Would it be too much to ask that this snivelling little shit be stripped of his title – or at the very least his OBE – for his part in the disgraceful attempt to blame the victims?

Maybe then the 96 will be able to really Rest In Peace.
