Last Thursday, I read a Spiegel piece (which I acknowledged) of more outline allegations, about which sources were then able to give me more detail.

The Drivelly Barclaygraph didn’t bother to mention either of us. I also added that Turkey is getting refugees back from the EU and deporting them to a Syria in which a grizzly fate may yet await them. This was not part of the original deal either….but the Telegraph toned down its piece and omitted such stuff because it is, as always, the lapdog of anyone with security credentials, military scrambled egg, and tons of wonga.

One threader on yesterday’s Slogpost said he didn’t see any problem here, and he’d always found most Turks very pleasant. Ditto…but two points for those born yesterday morning:

1. It isn’t at all hard for Iraqis and Syrians to get forged Turkish passports. Erdogan will ensure they get them; and the recipients will be Daesh and/or ISIS jihadists, funded either by him or the Saudis.
2. Erdogan is a blackmailer with a long history of supporting extremists and inventing crises. He has broken his word at every stage of this grubby deal, and he will do so again.
