Clinton Spin Can’t Hide A Clear & Present Danger To Western Liberty –

When Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton’s closest personal aide, abruptly went into hiding 11 days ago, it was assumed by many longterm observers of Clinton Family ruthlessness that she’d been distanced and, effectively, dumped. But last Wednesday she was back headlining a Clinton rally. By that time, the Clintons had been tipped by sources that FBI director James Comey was  dropping the ‘renewed’ Weiner laptop emails story. Abedin – recently separated from Weiner – seemed in the clear. The Slog looks at her background, and wonders how she will get security clearance if her boss Hillary is elected President.

On first hearing about the Hillary Clinton email server scandal ten months ago, I recall thinking it sounded like the Trumpeters and Berniekids were scrabbling around to find anything that would have traction with the voters once the Conventions were over. At that time, I confess to having regarded her as the most obvious shoo-in since Carter after Watergate.

But then it became clear in the summer that Hillary had taken an enormous risk by eschewing the State Department server in favour of her own. Then later, it was made obvious (whether you’re for or against it) that she had been hacked by foreign powers and Wikileaks. And later still, the background of her most trusted aide – and the access of that aide to State secrets via Clinton’s laptop – rendered the security risk beyond theoretical.

It’s only in the last month that I’ve taken the trouble to research the previous lives of Hamu Abedin (above) and then poked at some primary sources to see if any further colour might be added. My delay (which I now regret) was based on a senior New York source who insisted that the emails furore was a distraction from the real McCoy: a proper legally forensic examination of the Clinton Foundation and its at best eccentric interpretations of the Laws concerning “charities”.

The source was right; and I still believe (ok, these days maybe ‘hope’ is a better verb) that in the end – as with Capone – it is that breathtaking slush fund that will send the Clintons down.

But Ms Abedin’s alarming history leads me to ask two questions: how did she get security clearance to work in the original Clinton White House; and why on Earth would any sane security vetter give her clearance to work in a second one?

Huma Abedin is American by birth, but not by culture. She was born in 1976 in Kalamazoo, Michigan State. Her father, Syed Abedin and mother Saleha were both devout Muslim academics. The family moved to Saudi Arabia when she was just two years old. The next sixteen years of her life are shrouded in mystery. She only returned to the United States to attend George Washington University to study journalism as her main course, and  political science as the secondary.

Abedin herself is a practising Muslim who doesn’t touch alcohol. Her estranged husband  Anthony Wiener once remarked, “None of us are entirely certain she’s human”.

Her Dad (pictured left during a 1971 broadcast) was a regular and vociferous critic of the West’s view of Islam.  He founded the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs, and after he died Huma’s mother – an enthusiastic promoter of, and believer in, Sharia law – took over as editor-in-chief. 23 years later, she’s still in charge of it…a publication supporting female genital mutilation, the inferiority of women, and the importance of killing any person who rejects Islam in favour of another religion.

Even while she was working as an intern in the Clinton White House during Bill’s Presidency, Abedin wrote for the Journal…listed over time at first as its associate editor, and then as its Assistant Editor. She continued to do so until 2008, by which time she had become a Clinton Family intimate.

Hillary’s campaign spinners say she was “only a figurehead”. But she was a contibutor and editor for at least twelve years – and her mother was its radical supremo. That very same mother sits on the Presidency Staff Council of the International Islamic Council for Da’wa and Relief. That group in turn is chaired by a former leading scholar within the Muslim Brotherhood, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi.

Yusuf al-Qaradawi is keen to broadcast his unwillingness to be seen as a radical. But what many observers don’t grasp is that Yusuf al-Qaradawi was a key contact point that led to the US’s ill-advised backing of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood as “less radically fundamentalist” than the newer kids on the block like ISIS and D’aesh.

And that policy in turn is directly connected to Hillary Clinton’s term of office as Secretary of State….while she was still being closely advised by Huma Abedin.

But despite Yusuf al-Qaradawi’s public rejection of Islamism, firmly established facts about the man leave lingering doubts about his professed tolerance. In 1998, he was happy to be credited by Associated Press as having written and said on many occasions, “There should be no dialogue with Israelis except with swords.”

In fact, al-Qaradawi has a long history of rabid antiSemitism: as late as January 2009, he uttered this prayer on Al-Jazeera:

“O Allah, take your enemies, the enemies of Islam. O Allah, take the Jews, the treacherous aggressors. O Allah, take this profligate, cunning, arrogant band of people. O Allah, they have spread much tyranny and corruption in the land. Pour Your wrath upon them, O our God. Lie in wait for them. O Allah, You annihilated the people of Thamoud (An early pagan Arab tribe) with an overpowering blast, and You annihilated the people of ‘Aad with a fierce, icy gale, and You destroyed the pharaoh and his soldiers – O Allah, take this oppressive, tyrannical band of people. O Allah, take this oppressive, Jewish Zionist band of people. O Allah, do not spare a single one of them. O Allah, count their numbers, and kill them, down to the very last one.”

Later still – just three years ago in April 2013 – Yusuf al-Qaradawi had this to say on Qatar TV during a sermon on the subject of Middle Eastern peace:

“If you invite the Jews, I will not participate. I will participate in a Muslim-Christian meeting, but with the Jews there should be no debate.Those Jews have committed clear injustice against us. They have shed our blood, killed our children….I cannot be a part of a conference in which wrongdoing Jews participate. They have committed great injustice, and I cannot possibly shake hands with them. Their hands are soiled with blood. They have murderous, violent, and oppressive hands. I cannot soil my hands by shaking theirs.”

Hillary Clinton resigned as Secretary of State eight weeks before this outburst. But the damage was done….she had already bought into the idea of the MB as a potentially ‘tamed’ US ally.

Is it really in any way credible to suggest that Huma Abedin had no influence whatsoever on Clinton’s Decision in the matter?

Huma Abedin is not what she seems. Much is made in US liberal circles of Abedin’s marriage to the Jewish Democrat politician Anthony Weiner: what a wonderful example she set for ecumenicalism, they say, in marrying a Jewish man.

But even Weiner himself accepts that his estranged wife is a calculating individual. At the time she married him, Anthony Weiner was an up and coming Congressman with very high ambitions. The Clintons officiated at the wedding. The marriage made them a Power Couple….and meant that Huma Abedin had a direct route ahead to the White House – with another in reserve if necessary.

Abedin too several volleys of crap before finally dumping Weiner. He was a passport, and she had no intention of giving it up easily. Only when he was a political dead duck did she leave.

Returning to the questions I asked at the outset – and remembering that umbilical cord between the Hillarybillies and the Justice Department – the doubts must surely remain. Hillary has already shown herself to be (at best) carelessly reckless in security matters. How and why did a person with Abedin’s history get security clearance to be intimately involved in Bill’s White House? And why would any CIA senior clearance officer now – in the light of this post and thousand of others – give her clearance to be in Hillary’s?

We have here a prima facie case of a potentially long-term Islamist sleeper worming her way into the fabric of US policy in relation to Arabian affairs. The US obsession with oil-based energy helped fuel – and at times fund – the disastrous creed of Jihadism. Clinton is up to her eyes in that policy: as her health fails, there is no telling how suggestible she might become.

Far be it from me to bang the drum for America: its global hegemony would be, I am sure, a cataclysm for Planet Earth. But an American pc-enthralled President playing into the hands of a disguised belief system would be far worse: as an atheist nation, Russia is already a bogey man for Christian America. An alliance between US and Islamist fundamentalism against Putin would be the end of everything.

Forget tribalist ideology; surely even Trump is a far less dangerous alternative.
