Richard D Hall runs through what is known about Stan Myers’s device which used water to create hydrogen and oxygen, and thereby more energy than he used to split the water. The US military showed interest in his invention, and he obtained patents for his water fuel cell.  He was later poisoned in a restaurant.  Stan Myers was self taught.

He deliberately filed his invention with the Patent Office incomplete.

Richard runs over other free energy devices that have been invented, and mentions the ineffectiveness of groups set up to discover or rediscover the methods that could be successful in achieving ‘over unity’ devices.  He proposes a way to proceed with his colleague Andrew Johnson.

      so how do you overcome the energy needed to break water into hydrogen and oxygen. Because that takes a lot of energy thus not making it free energy.

      but i guess true believers are just fools….

          you have never created hydrogen from water, have you? or have a basic understanding of of the laws of thermodynamics

            you’ve never used PWM in your fuel cells? ultrasonic fracking? these two methods combined can reduce the electrical energy required by factors exceeding 50%

              my point was the entire concept is self-contradictory as nothing is “free”, specially if you have to invest 10 grand in a machine to do it

        I would use the far-cheaper and simpler, global patent system. Charge royalty for corporate use, free for independents.

        Every last country, non-aligned with the West, is pursuing R&D, to free itself.

      Solar and wind are a bit unreliable as the elements have a mind of their own and the sun isn’t always shining and the wind isn’t always blowing when we need to ramp up power in high demand periods.

      I’ve nursed an idea that folk will probably shoot down in two minutes….maybe even that’s a bit generous. Lol, but here goes.

      We need a source of energy that is more 24/7 than the above mentioned, without also generating pollution.

      A large delta wing, with possibly a kilometre wingspan is anchored securely at sea within the Pacific conveyer current. It runs at around 5kts. When did the Pacific Conveyer ever stop?
      If placed at choke points say, between sea mounts or in upwellings, this will add to performance.

      The unit would consist of the giant wing, a cable/s anchored to the sea floor to hold in place.
      The wing houses a generator and wing auto pilot controls, accessible by a hatch on top.

      To operate, The ballast tanks take the wing to neutral buoyancy, the ailerons are adjusted by onboard computers and the wing silently slides down beneath the waves.
      As the computer control moves the control surfaces to constantly ‘fly’ the wing through the vertical water column from the ocean floor to the surface and dive again, the anchor cable which is attached to a pulley inside the wing body, spins the generator as the wing rises against the 5 knot current and the cable is paid out. When the wing reaches the surface and dives, the cable is drawn back onto the pulley and spins the gen on the way back down.
      A seperate insulated cable transfers the current along the seabed to shore.
      Radio beacons/buoys surrounding the area warn passing vessels. The computer automatically dives the wing to its deepest point if a vessel should enter the restricted locality.

      To service, the wing is put in maintenance mode by radio, the wing rises, blows its tanks fully and lifts clear. There are facilities to land a large inflatable on board by means of a mesh platform that rises under the inflatable and deposits it on deck, complete with crew and equipment.
      24/7 power.
      Not free as someone suggested, as you need to build and tow the unit into place, but there’s no free lunches, huh
