The Thousand Days

Today is something of a milestone at The Slog, in that this is the 1000th edition of ATEOTD (At the End of the Day). Generally, it’s tended to be a mixture of ridiculing satire with a bit of calm revelation thrown in….so that’s what I offer tonight. The younger Ward you see to the left gives testimony to the fact that it’s not always been fun. What made it worthwhile in the end is the enduring quality of the comment threads – for which I thank you one and all.

This is a masterpiece of eclectic harem-scarem from The Times this morning. Because of global warming, it’s so hot in Sicily right now, the dead are being explosively decoffinated – creating a massive potential health problem, and because of the deadly killing machine Covid19, there’s no time to bury the coffins OMG OMG OMG.

I can see potential in this approach; it’s the sort fear-fest that could very easily catch on:

That’s a peachy one, because it gets everyone out of jail: no more Geli Merkel ringing Jerome Powell to yell, “Wo ist mein verdammtes Gold, Arschloch?”. Aw shucks, little Sausage – that pesky climate change did for it…what a bummer, huh? New emergency powers are brought in to use the empty Pacific basin as a mass grave for Cytokinic victims, and everyone but the Davos folks under their Klingon climate bubble dies of skin cancer. Job sorted, no conspiracy theory to see here: “It’s a tragic disaster,” says Just Intrudeau, “but we did warn you so ner ner ne ner ne, worms”.

I’m warming to this theme, although not necessarily climatically….

This neatly blames Beijing for the bail-in crime, keeps the variant-to-vaccination numbers up, provides a cover story for sudden Fed solvency and tees up Onkel Klaus’s Great Reset by leaving 98% of the world’s population penniless. I missed my way: I should’ve settled in Langley Virginia all those years ago, aged 22, and joined the CIA’s shiney new Psy-Op Division.

Meanwhile, down here in shivery Lot et Garonne, the temperature finally crawled above 24° this morning (twelve below the seasonal norm) and – deprived of swimming for six days – your correspondent dove into the pool. Thus began the mysterious case of the Disappearing Dick.

The ladies amongst you may not entirely understand this, but it is in the nature of male apparatus that, donkey-hung or not, cold water temperatures tend to reduce the key member of the trio to roughly the size of a shy acorn. It was bracing – I’ll grant you that – but my appearance on leaving the pool (after half a length) was that of an androgynous being in the manner of Chris Whitty.

Ever since this escapade, I’ve been checking now and then to be sure things are returning to normal. There will be regular bulletins.

The more serious point to be made is that the astonishingly cool weather here will (sadly) probably give the Boy King just the excuse he needs to push all the Pandemic Emergency Buttons again. Just so long as the little slimeball doesn’t give us any more of that “I am the victim of your freedoms” vomit: anything but that.

Over the last ten days, daily Covid related deaths have crept up from 54 to 70, then 112 and yesterday to 127. But it’s deaths per million (dpm – not raw case numbers) that matter. Thus, on the basis of climbing back up to similar levels to those we saw last year, Macrony could sell another lockdown and sound sensible. Except, of course, he’s not paying attention.

Some comparisons are instructive here. In Turkey (where a far more light-handed approach to Covid19 is in place) they have just over one third of France’s dpm – 629 versus 1726. In Pakistan, the number is 109. In India, 310.

Guess what these countries all have in common: they’re fighting the virus largely with ivermection as opposed to mRNA experimental nonsense.

There is no sense at all in any way on any sane basis to the Pharmafia narrative. The effectiveness of Ivermectin is the reason Hancock, Fauci, most MSM titles and Macron have persistently rubbished a strategy of such cheap management drugs alongside herd immunity as the best longterm treatment of a virus that has culled just 42 largely aged human beings per 100,000 on average over the last twenty months.

It’s worse than a farce: it’s a peace crime against Homo sapiens, and a gigantic fraud in which the Davos transhumans are at the very least damningly implicated.
