Sorry if posting is a bit sparse and boring this week. I managed to catch a cold on the plane back from my ‘Place in the sun’ adventure, and I’ve felt like pants all week. I’m getting some revenge though

I’ve been saying ever since Covid became a thing, that there’s no point in taking tests, if you’re unwell, stay at home and don’t spread it. I’ve been saying that anyone with a cold flu, covid or whatever, should just take some time off work if they feel sick

People have been coming in, playing the martyr, saying they will be fine, or even worse, wearing a mask and thinking they won’t spread it. I caught three colds off others in the office last year, and I don’t normally get them. Seems they might be a lot more prevelant since lockdowns. So this week I’ve been in the office and spreading my cold to all the other buggers

Anyway. I got two emails from Blogger last night. Both were about very old blog posts that had the word ‘Porn’ in the title, that had been put behind warnings because they break Bloggers community standards

Both posts were so old I didn’t remember them, but it was obvious they had been flagged because of the titles, not the content. I don’t have actual porn in any of my posts (to my recollection)

So this morning I dug out the posts to check them. The first one is about a study of the female orgasm done in an MRI scanner. To be fair, I did make some comments about flicking the bean and MILFs, so as the post is so old, I decided to let it go

The second post was about porn sites been given the new domain extension .xxx, and how this could possibly be used for censorship in the future. This post contains nothing that could be considered risqué, so in my opinion, shouldn’t be flagged as containing sensitive content

There was a link to click in the email, to have the post re-evaluated after you’ve edited it. I didn’t edit the post, just clicked the link to see what happens. 20 Seconds later I got an email saying the post was under review. One minute after that, I got another email saying that after review, the post was no longer flagged as sensitive

That happened so fast, there wasn’t time for a human to have found the post and read it, so it must be an automated process that seems to have limited and somewhat pointless results

While looking for the two posts in question, I also found a number of other posts that have porn in the titles, that weren’t flagged:

Octopus Porn? How many hand jobs is that? If any of my posts should have been flagged, this is probably the one. Just as a follow up, the guy in the storey got two years

Funny Google search words I later discovered that the above post was causing my blog to get Google search hits off some very strange people

….but I wasn’t a wanker so I didn’t speak up This one is back from 2010 when the Government were trying to bring in legislation to block all internet porn unless you opted into it. It doesn’t say porn in the title, but…

It does also say porn a helluva lot in the body text

Where has all the porn gone!? In which I change service provider. Remember when you needed MAC codes?

And that seems to be about it. Ten or so porn related posts that did not get censored. Makes me wonder. How long has this post got?

*Update* It was flagged and put behind a warning as soon as I published it. When I clicked the link for a review, the same thing happened; the warning was immediately lifted. Wierd
