Iranian hackers target US municipal water authority, How bout them Houthis and more: Links 1 for November 29th, 2023

1. Municipal Water Authority of Aliquippa hacked by Iranian-backed cyber group

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. (KDKA) – The Municipal Water Authority of Aliquippa said on Saturday that one of their booster stations had been hacked by an Iranian-backed cyber group.

Matthew Mottes, the chairman of the board of directors for the Municipal Water Authority of Aliquippa, confirmed to KDKA-TV that the cyber group, known as Cyber Av3ngers, took control of one of the stations. An alarm went off as soon as the hack had occurred.

(Opened a criminal investigation? Seriously? If that is not a military attack what is? Clearly not taking down a passenger jet, which the Iranians also did a few years ago)

2. This one is fun. So much to question. Official reports say that a column of 10,000 men are marching to Israel from Yemen, Iranian backed Houthis who have declared war on Israel. First, I can’t see the Saudis, who the Houthis have been firing missiles at, and attacking in various ways for years now, allowing this. For another, having declared war on Israel, nothing stopping the Israelis from sending a few precicion ordinance their way and ending this grand desert march. A march I might add, which appears to have no vehicular support that is visible in the videos at least. Where are the weapons and ordinance stored? Food? This would make more sense if they were headed to Europe where they could get a nice hotel room and by above and beyond all laws while they wait for the order to attack the locals.

3. So about those hotel rooms. Illegals arriving by the bus load in the Netherlands get this. I wonder what we would have to pay for a room like this a night if we went to Holland on our own dime, and in a non-criminal way wanted to be a tourist for a short time.

Click through to RAIR for a lot more details on the accommodations they get.

4. Trad Catholic Family Dragged Out of Home at Gunpoint, Locked in Van After FBI ‘Goaded’ Teen to Post Offensive Memes, Dad Says

(I remember when entrapment was just for drugs and hookers)

A traditional Catholic family was allegedly “dragged out of their home at gunpoint, handcuffed and locked in a van” earlier this year after the FBI “goaded” their 15-year-old son to post  “offensive memes” online. The teen, a volunteer firefighter and altar boy, was then hospitalized on mental health pretenses, according to his father, Jeremiah Rufini.

The FBI’s aggressive “investigation” only resulted in a misdemeanor conviction against the boy for breach of peace, but financially devastated the family with substantial legal expenses.

The FBI targeted the boy as part of a sting operation catfishing traditionalist Catholic teenagers with “extreme political content,” Rufini explained in the family’s GiveSendGo crowdfunding site.

The family’s difficulties began early in 2023 when Rufini’s father became too ill from chemotherapy to work at the family business or care for his 93 year-old grandmother who lives in an in-law apartment at his home.

The home-schooled 15 year-old took on the responsibility of caring for his great grandmother until his father got home from work each day.

5. Swedish municipalities give Islamic State returnees jobs ‘caring’ for elderly and children

Out of the 83 individuals who returned from the Islamic State (IS), 81 owe debts to the Crown Marshal, 30 have committed crimes, and a number of them are now employed in elderly care or working as social workers, according to a report from the Swedish state media outlet SVT.

The report reveals that over 25% of the returning IS fighters have secured positions involving children, young people, and vulnerable individuals, such as childminders, youth leaders, teachers, and social workers, within municipal jobs.

Despite efforts to maintain secrecy, SVT, a state-run entity, has identified 83 out of around 150 IS returnees in Sweden. Only 23 of them have reported income for the year 2022, ranging between approximately 8,000 and 800,000 kroner, as per SVT.

Interestingly, many of these individuals express satisfaction with their reception upon returning to Sweden. One noteworthy case mentioned in the report is the widow of a high-ranking IS terrorist who found employment as a nanny in Sweden and told the newspaper Expressen: “There are always jobs to be found in the preschool.”
